Winch modification. Motor and hardware replacement

My previous home brew winch was build in 1999. After many years of service I needed a bigger winch with a mechanical brake.

380VAC, 500W motor with 1/2" chain and sprocket.

      
 

The new wormgear reductormotor needs new sprocket and gears. Motorspeed is 1440/36. Reduction 1:40

  I could have welded the drive sprocket (Z=28) but decided only to fasten the sprocket with 8.8 bolds.

because for service reasons the reductor is replacable within one minute.

      
 

3x380VAC with electrical (mechanical) brake.

      
 

Modification is completed.

Winchspeed = 8.3 meter/minute (0,13m/s)
Motorpower = 1.5KW
Torque = 10.000 Nm

Luso and PA1A
Seen in Dayton and now at the Ham Radio 2009 in Friedrichshaven (DL), the new Luso crankuptower 44TN is using the same drive winch as PA1A.
